Operations Manual

Objective. The purpose of this operations manual is to regulate the organization and operation of the journal Dolor® Investigación, Clínica & Terapéutica.

Definitions. The following abbreviations are included in this Operations manual:

General provisions:

•These provisions shall be mandatory for all persons involved in the operation of the Journal, including authors and peer reviewers.

• Publicaciones Permanyer is the owner of the Journal, the registered trademark rights, and the corresponding copyrights.

• Publicaciones Permanyer holds all rights regarding the publication of the Journal.

• The Journal will be published quarterly, online, with articles in Spanish and/or in English.

• The content of the Journal will be available via suscription. There is a 6 month embargo.

• Associate Editors shall be appointed by the Editor-in-Chief.

• Members of the Journal’s Editorial Board will be selected based on their experience and position within their scientific discipline, their knowledge of the subject matter, and their understanding of the current or planned geographical scope of the scientific discipline addressed by the Journal.


Composition

• The Journal staff shall consist of an Editor-in-Chief, a Co-editor, and the Editorial Board.

• The Editor-in-Chief must have experience in the editorial field and will be responsible for implementing best editorial practices in the scientific evaluation and editing process of submitted manuscripts. Likewise, they will ensure the efficiency and agility of the editorial processes, identifying risks and applying improvement plans when necessary.

• Associate Editors must have editorial experience. Their role is to support the Editor-in-Chief in all their duties, evaluate manuscripts in their subject area, and assume any other function assigned to them.

• Members of the Editorial Board may remain in their positions indefinitely, depending on their participation in the Journal’s processes. Their functions include offering an inclusive editorial vision, promoting and attracting new authors, reviewing studies in their subject area, suggesting initiatives, and contributing as authors.
